The guy's certainly very skilled, but I'd also say that he's very, very experienced. For many years, he probably spent every waking moment drawing - and not just drawing one thing or doing one thing, but focusing on many different things, one at a time. It's all about how much time you put into practicing something and how much you're willing to stick with it even when you don't get results.

I found you on Escher Girls and I must say that your talent in art makes me feel like practicing my own talent again. This is only bad since I have finals next week and I should probably study haha. :)
I was wondering if you have any advice on drawing owls? Or if you had any tutorials made that I could look at? I saw a bird tutorial on your tumblr but it didn't go as in depth as I need.

Dear Mark Ching (Le.mec)

If it wasn't more you I wouldn't be an artist today and would have given up my dream of being a good artist a long time ago.

I am still trying to master the cube but and I am still a big newbie. But everything I know and I am learning is thanks to you.

It makes me sad the fact that you don't get more recognition despite the act that you are one of the few thata actually teaches art and isn't just "showing off" without teaching anything at all

I love your videos, your words of you abandoning a lame joke and learning to draw from zero is still a great inspiration story for me and I hope I can repay you one day :).

My best wishes to you

your faithful youtube student mythicsonofgod

Well, nobody is truly indebted to me, but if there was something that people could do on my behalf out of gratitude --

I'd ask that they share the things I've shared with others who feel they could use it.

Hey Mark I wanted to ask your opinion on this artist

[link] wow I can't believe it is even possible that!

He's very technically proficient - He knows how to control his medium.

He's patient and focused - His works take about 30 hrs each.

He's methodical - he uses a grid-mapping technique to copy photographs.

His process is inflexible and he can only copy something that already exists.

But he definitely seems to enjoy the activity of what he does and he gets great results.
